Sweeney’s™ Repellent Spray

Repel moles, voles and gophers from lawns and ornamentals with Sweeney’s™ easy-to-use Repellent Yard Spray. The active ingredient is 100% castor oil – when soaked into soil it works to contaminate the moles underground food source (earthworms and grubs). Long-lasting, the repellent can safely be used around children and pets.

Easy-to-Apply
To apply product, simply attach a garden hose tightly to the self-dispensing container and adjust the nozzle to MIX. Turn water supply to full pressure and spray the product over mole-infested areas. Repellent should be sprayed at a rate of one quart of product per 10,000 square feet (e.g. a 100 ft. by 100 ft. rectangle).

After the repellent is sprayed on area to be treated, adjust the container nozzle to WATER and continue to spray with water to soak the product into the soil.

When to use:
Treat all areas immediately after the presence of moles is detected. The presence of moles may be indicated by a network of surface ridges or by a series of conical mounds of earth pushed up from deep burrows.

Lawn should also be treated in early spring, mid-summer and early fall if there are moles nearby but not on your property.

Sweeney’s™ Repellent Granules – 2X

Protect your lawn from moles, gophers, voles, armadillos and other burrowing animals with this powerful, all-natural repellent. The granules contain a concentrated formula of 20% castor oil – twice the industry standard – to effectively drive pests from yards and gardens. Non-toxic and poison free, the repellent is safe to use around children and pets and will not harm grass and plants.

After applying the repellent, water the product into the ground with a sprinkler to activate the granules. This makes the ground smell and taste unpleasant so the pests search for a more favorable environment in which to live.

A cost-effective repellent, each 10-lb. bag provides 10,000 sq. feet of coverage.

Effective elimination of moles – how it works
Sweeney’s™ Mole & Gopher Repellent works by slowly driving moles out of yards and gardens in stages. Avoid treating the entire lawn in one application – this may cause moles to tunnel aimlessly in any direction to try to escape the repellent. Applying the granules over the lawn in stages will steadily herd moles away from your “good” mole-free lawn.

Sweeney’s™ Solar Powered Sonic Spike™

Sweeney’s™ Solar Powered Sonic Spike offers a poison-free way to drive away moles, gophers and other rodents. Every 30 seconds, sonic pulses penetrate the soil, emitting a penetrating sound which is irritating to moles and gophers who are virtually blind and extremely sensitive to sound and vibrations. This method encourages moles to leave the property, and the solar operated spike continues to discourage return visits.

No batteries are required to operate the waterproof spike; one solar charge will last up to 5 days. The spike is built with a mow-over design and safe to use around pets. Allow 7-14 days before ground rodents start to move away from the area.

Sweeney’s™ Sonic Spikes™

Safely send moles and gophers scurrying from your yard without the use of chemicals or poisons. When placed in the ground and activated, sonic pulses penetrate the soil, emitting a sound which is highly irritating to moles and gophers who are virtually blind and extremely sensitive to sound and vibrations. Climate permitting, leave Spikes in the ground to repel new generations of pests.

Easy-to-use, the Spikes are designed with a convenient removable battery sleeve for trouble-free battery replacement. Spikes will work for 4 – 6 months on one set of alkaline batteries*. Spikes must be used continuously for 7-14 days before ground rodents start to move away from the area.

Be sure to insert the Spike into the soil so that the cap is flush with the ground to avoid tripping hazards and the chance of hitting it with a lawnmower. Effectiveness depends largely upon soil type: dry, sandy or peat soil does not conduct the sonic waves easily. Moist clay is the best conductor of sound.

*Spikes use 3 “D” cell batteries, each, not included.

Sweeney’s™ Deadset™ Mole Trap

Anyone who has ever struggled to set a mole trap will appreciate how effortless it is to activate the Deadset Mole Trap. The trap boasts an ergonomically designed, easy grasp handle and an oversized activator plate that can be pushed into the tunnel by hand or foot, making it the easiest-to-set trap on the market.

The trap contains a patented, precision built triggering system that is activated by the slightest movement. When underground movement is detected, the spears are thrust into the ground, quickly killing the mole.

The Deadset Mole Trap comes fully assembled and ready-to-use. The package contains simple illustrated operating instructions and a mobile device scan for detailed step-by-step video instructions. Effective Tips to Help Win the War on Moles

Before setting the trap, water the lawn to bring the mole’s food source (earthworms and bugs) up near the ground surface. The next step is to locate active tunnels. Flatten tunnels by walking on them and then wait a day. If the tunnel rises up, it’s active. This is where the trap should be placed.

When setting a plunge-style mole trap, make sure the spears can move freely through the ground when the trap is triggered. Test the Deadset by pulling up on the handle to set the trap and then pushing down on the trap release lever located on the side of the trap. This will drive the spears into the ground. Raise and lower the trap until the spears are unobstructed by roots or rocks. Always use the release lever to trip the trap before moving it to another location.

Sweeney’s™ Poison Peanuts Bait

Stop lawn damage fast with the #1 selling mole and gopher bait. Sweeney’s™ Poison-Peanuts Pellets act as bait to attract moles and gophers- when consumed, the poison pellets quickly kill them. The canister features a cone tip that allows users to punch holes in active tunnel surfaces for easy application of the pellets. Use this product to help prevent the presence of pests.

Application Tips to Help Win the War on Moles
Prior to treatment, determine which burrows are active by either pressing down a small section of the tunnel or removing a one inch section of the tunnel’s roof. Mark these sections and re-check in 24-hours. The burrow is considered active if the flattened runway has been raised up or if the roof has been repaired. Only treat active burrows.

After identifying active burrows, carefully punch a hole in the top of active tunnels with pointed end of cone, drop in a teaspoonful of the pellets, and carefully close the hole with sod or stone. Do not collapse the runway again or allow loose soil to cover the bait. After a few days, check to see if the burrows are still active. If so, repeat treatment.

Post-Battle:
Wearing waterproof gloves, collect and dispose of dead, exposed animals. Dispose of leftover bait in accordance with disposal instructions on package.

Sweeney’s™ Poison Moleworms

An exciting new development in mole baiting, Sweeney’s™ Poison Moleworms are specially formulated to be palatable to moles. Intended for use in underground tunnels and runways, the Moleworms look and feel virtually identical to real earthworms, a main food source for moles. When eaten, the poison in the bait works quickly to kill the mole.

Each package of Sweeney’s™ Poison Moleworms includes 5 active tunnel locator flags, 10 worms and 1 protective glove for safe handling of the bait.

Easily Locate Active Tunnels
Selecting the proper area to place the Poison Moleworms is essential to successfully getting rid of moles in your yard. Begin by locating active tunnels. Make one-inch holes in the roof of a tunnel and mark the openings with the locator flags included in the Poison Moleworm package. Revisit the holes after 24-48 hours. Tunnels that have had holes resealed are an indicator of mole activity and a good place to bait.

Post-Battle:
After you’ve located an active tunnel, simply poke a hole that’s slightly larger than the diameter of the Poison Moleworm in the roof of the active tunnel and drop the product in. Reseal with dirt and repeat every 5 to 10 feet.
